Polaris Dawn Launch

On August 26th, the SpaceX Polaris Dawn mission will happen. This will use a Falcon 9 rocket, and will launch four civilians into orbit for 5 days. The event will also raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The crew for this mission include Jared Isaccman, Scott Poteet, Sarah Gillis, and Anna Menon. The launch window is between 3:30AM – 7:00AM.

When the arrive, they will do tests such as High Altitude, the first commercial spacewalk, in-space communications, and health impact research.

• Give your eyes about 20 minutes to adjust.
• While viewing the meteor shower, stay away from city lights and don’t use your phone.
