Perseids Meteor Shower Peak

Between July 14th and September 1st, you can view the Perseids meteor shower. However, the best date to watch is on the night of August 12th. You can expect to see about 150-200 meteors an hour at its peak. The Perseids are caused by Earth passing through the debris of the comet known as Swift-Tutle. As always, here’s some tips on viewing meteor showers:

• Give your eyes 20 minutes to adjust.
• Find a spot away from city lights.
